Esme

Age: 16 years old

Colour: White and Black

Sex: Female

Description:

Can you sponsor Esme?  She came to us as a stray, is elderly and blind and living with a permanent foster carer.

Esme finds her way around the house very well, using her litter tray, her lovely warm bed and finding her food.

She is very contented and purrs constantly. Her coat is improving all the time with all the care she now has.

Please Call Marjorie on 01494 715345 to Sponsor Poppy and help with her veterinary treatment.

Poppy is about 10 and has recently had surgery for the thyroid problem after being on medication for almost 2 years. She has made a full recovery and the surgery has improved the quality of her life.  She is gradually putting on some weight and is going from strength to strength. Poppy will live out her days here with her friends in safety, love and warmth.

Poppy

Age: 10 years old

Colour: Black and White

Sex: Female

Description:

Poppy came into Marjorie Nash Cat Rescue 2 years ago, just before Christmas. She was a little scrap of a thing who had been living permanently outside for about 3 years. One of our foster carers got a call about Poppy because they knew of her plight and were concerned because, for a number of weeks leading up to the call, the temperature was as low as minus 4 on some nights and this little bundle was huddled outside trying to survive.
The foster carer went to the garden she was living in and was able to bring her to a warm safe home and give her the care, love and warmth she craved. She was taken to the vet for a check up and was diagnosed with a thyroid problem and was put on medication to regulate this. She then came home and settled into a warm and cosy bed with some other feline friends and had a ball. Her favourite friend is Tom, she washes him and lets him know she is the boss. If Tom wants to move away from her before she is finished she will box his ears with a gentle swipe!

Please Call Marjorie on 01494 715345 to Sponsor Buffy and help with his veterinary treatment.

When the volunteer took him to the vet he was found to have a kidney condition which requires daily medication. The vet said he could have had this condition for several years so would have been in considerable discomfort.

Buffy

Age: 13 years old

Colour: Black and White

Sex: Male

Description:

Buffy was rescued from a flat in High Wycombe where he had been abandoned by his owner.  The owner was still there when the volunteer arrived, in a more or less empty flat, and told the volunteer that she did not want him any more as she was moving to London. She said if we did not want him we could have him put to sleep as she would not miss him.  She had owned Buffy for 9 years.
He had never been outside in the 9 years his owner had had him.  The owner was away frequently so he was left on his own in an empty flat.
The volunteer has two cats of her own and Buffy will live out the remainder of his life in a warm and loving home.
